Week notes #16
Hi everyone! A few updates from the team this week...We now have a beautifully illustrated Design Guide! Check it out - https://www.wikihouse.cc/guides/design
Our Engineering Guide was also updated this week- Lintels are now part of the guide, including design parameters as well as testing data/clips https://www.wikihouse.cc/guides/engineering#lintels
We have also carried out some bug fixes in Github - we have fixed issues with combs as well as verge G cutting files. Clayton is working on new blocks too, so keep an eye out for that….Next event is happening on Thursday 28 April theme and time tbc. If you have any ideas of how we can improve our events, (apart from making sure my mic is on when I’m speaking!) please DM me- I would love to hear your thoughts.
Oh and on that note- we hope to hold an in person event as part of London Festival of Architecture in June. More details when I know more.
Finally, Clayton took part in a discussion panel at Melbourne Design Week last month - I thought this was such an informative session on how design and digital fabrication can improve housing sustainability and affordability. This might be of particular interest to those of you in the #self-build channel.
Have a good weekend!
