Week notes #4
[These weeknotes started in late 2021 in the lead up to the release of WikiHouse Skylark, as a weekly update for our WikiHouse Slack community. Follow the link to find out more about the community and how to join.]
Short one from me as I’m sure you’re still reading yesterday's exciting update from Clayton.
On admin news, we have now subscribed to a new contact management system (to manage all those enquiries I was telling you about..this will keep our contacts tidy and in one place, also making it easier to manage mailing lists for example.) I am just about finished setting up our new contact forms and will soon be looking for volunteers to help us test them.
The Skylark design guide is being added to…with new services, internal finishes and cladding sections getting prepared in December.
Lots of work on the new website too. As you’ll know we have a FAQ section on the current site. The new site will have one too and we have been organising questions so it’s easier to find what you are looking for. We are also looking for patterns…so if the same thing gets asked again and again via our enquiries inbox for example, we are making sure to add this info to FAQ as well.
And finally, as promised, here is a sneak preview of the website…Here is what the blocks “library” looks like. All Skylark blocks will live in this page, so you can clearly see all the pieces in one place when you land here:
And here is what an individual block page looks like. You can see the block and its parts and the page will also include information on materials, details and a “download cutting files” link further down below.
