Week notes #51
Next WikiHouse event coming up with our friends at Architecture Unknown (AU). Join us on 30 March to hear from longtime collaborator Charlie Butterwick (AU co founder), about his work with WikiHouse, the projects they have completed and how they continue to adapt and evolve the system. Get your free tickets or catch the recording later on our Youtube channel.
New blocks library - our updated block library is now live. We are still working to update the cutting files for all 195 blocks but hope to upload them to the website very soon.
Routes into STEM - check out this blog by the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering about introducing secondary school pupils to civil engineering. WikiHouse also played a part in the programme of activities, by teaching the kids to assemble Skylark blocks before breaking them in the lab! (You can read all about the testing that Skylark blocks undergo here in our research library.)
WikiHouse training - the next date of the in person course by CNC Craft will take place on 6 April in Cornwall. Limited places available - details and tickets here.
